On 25 July 2017, Scoot and Tigerair will officially be merged as tigerair brand is coming into the Scoot brand. However, Scoot’s TZ-coded flight numbers will be replaced with tigerair’s TR-coded flight numbers. For more info on Scoot’s merger with tigerair, visit www.flyscoot.com/en/en-brandmerger.
Here are some tips from our writer:
- If you’re travelling on Scoot on/or after 25 July, your Scoot flights will depart as scheduled, however the designator code TZ will be replaced with tigerair’s existing designator code TR. For example, if you were originally booked to travel on TZ 2062 from Singapore to Hong Kong, your new flight designator code will be TR 2062.
- The Conditions of Carriage will be updated to reflect the new company information. All other aspects of the conditions, including fare rules and terms of booking will remain the same. In short, it’s business as usual.
